About Me
If curiousity killed the cat - it´s convinient that cats like us have nine lives.
CURRENT MISSION
To live by all means!
ABOUT ME
If people could - and should - be identified with a mortal sin, mine would without a doubt be gluttony! I have a huge appetite; for new taste experiences, for music, for traveling, for culture, stories, new people, new knowledge... I love to learn and to discovering coughsurfing as a platform for meeting new people and seeing new places was a fantastic thing for me. It gives you the oppotunity to get an insight in the country and culture you are visiting, one that the toursit brochures and wikipedia could never give you. I look at the world as an ever expanding, never solid structure with changing shades and colors depending on your outlook, The more your learn and understand about this structure, the harder it gets for fear and pre-determined opinions to get to you.
And after this decent chunk of pocket-philosphy, here´s some harder facts:
- I am studying biology, currently doing my masters
- I am living with my boyfriend in a kollegium in the north-eastern part of Aarhus
- lived in Berlin for almost a year, which was both amazing, terrible, confusing and educational
- Beside travelling, music is my life and my western Comtessa accoustic guitar, which I bought cheap on a flea market, is my dearest possesion. I am no Jimmy Hendrix (at all!), but I enjoy playing just the same and I love to jam!
- I am a diabetic and have been so since I was six, so I have been used to taking my medication and watching my diet for most of my life. It is, in other words, I don´t wan´t people to worry about it, but neither should they be suprised if I´m suddenly playing with needles ;)
PHILOSOPHY
In every life you´ll have some trouble, but when you worry you make it double. I wish I´d come up with that, but it is kindly borrowed from Bobby Mcferrin
People can (and should) be as freaky as they wish, as long as it doesn´t affect other people negatively.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have previously lived on couches of friends and friends of friends when looking for a place to live. But I guess this section is mostly regarding couch surfing experiences with this site, so here it goes:
I went on a backpack-trip with my boyfriend in the summer with my boyfriend. We stayed with
- Juri in Tallinn, which was an amazing, fascinating and way to short experience
- Simona and Kasparas in Vilnius, extremely fun and light-hearted guys
- Witold in Gdansk, also a short stay but a cosy experience.
I´ve so far hosted
- Diana, a girl from Russia who lived with us for quite some time and was a very nice first-time experience

Music, Movies, and Books
Too much to list! Especially regarding music it highly depends upon the mood and occation, but if I had to choose a to-go-to-genre, it would probably be classic rock. I also enjoy movies and books, but seldom get to read because of my studies and many interests. I especially like crimi, mystery and fantasy-books, also occationally biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Allthough it might be more general, I think it´s an amazing thing everytime I follow my guts, especially when my brain tells me otherwise. Intuition has seldom let me down
Teach, Learn, Share
My language/some swedish, norwegian and german - being born in Denmark, having family in the two other contries and having lived in the last mentioned, I am familiar with all four languages.
I can play a bit of guitar and I have some choir-training; I can teach guests a bit of this if they want
Biology, of course. I am especially fascinated with invertebrates, parasites and epidemics, so I´ll be good consulting about all the yucky things ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and I would love to cook with/for you at least once! I would love sharing beer/cups of coffee as well and you´re more than welcome to listen to my vinyls when home alone. Also, when I have time, I will gladly show you around; I am not an expert in Aarhus history per se, but I know some basics and even better, being a natur lover, I know the beautiful places to go.
