Life is too funny to be taken seriously
ABOUT ME
Growing up in a little town in Germany, travelling became a big part of my life.
I lived in Boston as an Au Pair until September 2012. The city became my second home.
My big passion is sport. I mostly do team handball, swimming, running, snowboarding and climbing...trying out as many different sports as possible, no matter what, I'm up for everything. Now in Germany I study Sportmanagement at the German Sports University in Cologne. We have awesome facilities and people are always willing to participate in new activities. Its a great, fun place.
I love music and I play the piano. Besides that I like spending some time creating any kinds of arts or visiting extraordinary exhibitions.
People would describe me as a very active, ambitious and chaotic person. Sometimes I guess,I can be a little hot tempered and also childish, but let is be fair ... who isn't.
I always traveled a lot, in the States and in Europe, with exchange projects (especially in coordination with tournaments or sport events), with friends and by myself. Seeing other countries, meeting the people there and getting to know different cultures is such an incredible experience.
Couch Surfing is a big part of that ... So here we go ;)
PHILOSOPHY
never stop learning and trying, there is always something new to discover
It is not about time, it is about choices. How are you spending your choices?
Do not let what you can not do; interfere with what you can do
Life is far too important to be taken seriously
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to travel and stay with somebody for a couple of days, when visiting countries. I want to host people in Cologne and I hope I can get people to do some sports with me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did do couch-surfing a couple of times in New York, New Orleans and LA, also in Amsterdam and Berlin...had a great time and I always liked spending time with the host. They were always a great help, getting around in the city. I lived in host families and we hosted people back home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed up Kebnekaise, the highest mountain in Sweden. I will never forget that breathtaking view.
When I took part in an exchange program with Vietnam, we went to a orphanage. A girl, with black spots all over a body, sang a song called " never be sad". I couldn't hold my tears.
I got lost in a forest in Finland. it took me seven hours to find my way back. I was scared to death...
Teach, Learn, Share
of course I want to learn something about the place I visit and the people who live there
I could teach about my country, my studyprogram, places I traveled to and the sports I do
