Overview
About Me
My name is Maria (you would've never guessed from my profile) and I am 22 y.o. Currently living in Rotterdam, but spent my whole life in Moscow, Russia, where I was born and raised. Before coming to Rotterdam I graduated from the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where I was doing my bachelor in Sociology. Now I also got my master in media, btw.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Being a student does not really leave me a lot of money, but does not kill my love for travelling. So that might be actually a very good idea to finally try couchsurfing.
Interests
I am absolutely crazy about dancing, cause I've been dancing for my whole life (literally the whole life since I remember myself as a child). Besides that I really enjoy cooking, teaching (for now - just English and Russian, but still), travelling (makes sense), skiing, singing and playing guitar. And for sure some common stuff like going for walks and to cinemas, listening to music (a lot of genres, cannot really say about my preferences), hanging out with friends and everything that a 22 y.o. would probably like to do. And I am never against a good party :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, getting more complicated... I really love Shinedown, Scorpions, Hurts, Adam Lambert... (checking my spotify) ...Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith... Is someone actually reading this?
Speaking about movies - well, I'm never really up-to date, but I adore X-Men (all of them!), Illusionist, The Prestige, Inception, Whiplash, Die Welle (The Wave), 3:10 to YUMA, Mission Impossible (all of them), James Bond (recently watched all of them since 1965 haha) and a lot more. And I really enjoyed Sherlock on BBC, except for the fact that the last episode was super weird.
Books - oh, I've read a lot, but this year it's such a shame, too much studies. Tho, my favorite is The Master and Margarita by a Russian author Mickhail Bulgakov; also Dead Souls by Nicolai Gogol, The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach.
Teach, Learn, Share
Even though I stayed in Rotterdam only for a year, I'm pretty sure that I can help you get around :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
First of all, I have a really small room to my own, like 15 sqm, but I have an inflatable matrass, so if it's a question of life and death - I can host one person for a short period of time :)
