About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"To watch, in fascination, the people I ignore at home.” – Runes

ABOUT ME

Producer for the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas, NV. I live for storytelling and have found the best stories in my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Throwing myself in brand new situations is not everyone's forte, but I thrive on doing just that. I love the "un"comfortability if that makes any sense. I've never really had a consistent personal 'philosophy', people/places/events change it all the time. But I guess that could classify as one. I think Jorge Luis Borges came up with the quote "I am a collection of the people I meet, the places I go and the things I see," or something of that effect. There we go, Borges is from Argentina and I would've never come up with a personal philosophy had it not been for my travels there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had one marvelous experience with Couchsurfing in Des Moines after doing a report on a man hitchhiking across the country. Our host was wonderful and I'm looking forward to future adventures through Couchsurfing.

Interests

Eating, trying new foods/restaurants/cooking styles... I really can't think of anything that doesn't interest me. Movies, museums, hiking, clubbing, traveling, concerts, THEATRE (love that), parks, festivals, thrift shopping, boating. Now I'm just trying to think of more verbs...seriously I just enjoy lots of activity all the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a wonderful question because I just returned from a 5-day trip to Patagonia. Five days was a tease. We stayed in El Chalten to hike Mt. Fitz Roy, Lago de los Tres and the next few nights in El Calafate for our trek on the Perito Moreno Glacier. It was the backdrop out of a movie. Beautiful, mesmerizing, extraordinary...all understatements. If you have any plans for visiting South America, include the Patagonia region to your list!
