About Me

I'm Argentinean/Canadian but have been living in the very awesome city of Atlanta for 8+ years.

I left the comforts of my quaint life in Atlanta in March 2016 and thru hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Mt Katahdin and then hiked a little more on the International Appalachian Trail to the Canadian border into New Brunswick completing 2340 miles by foot.
I spent 2017 traveling through South and Central America by public transportation including a cargo boat through the Amazons. In 2018 I traveled through Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, thru hiked the Lycian Way in Turkey, ran the Athens Original Marathon and spent 3 months in Western Europe.

I finally returned home to Atlanta in February of 2019 and have been adjusting to life, work and living in 1 place. I’m currently preparing to ride my bike from Atlanta to Key West starting 12/21/19.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is another great way to meet new people, exchange stories and experiences and be part of this human life exchange. Honestly, I haven't been able to participate as much as I would like but every time I have it's been a wonderful experience.

Interests

Maria loves a good cup of coffee and bicycles! (I have been found guilty of talking about bicycles incessantly)

I am passionate about the Great Outdoors and love to spend as much time in nature as I can. I spend a lot of my free time hiking, cycling, trail running and just enjoy being outside.

I also enjoy long distance running and racing, century rides and ultra hiking. My latest interest after my long hike is long distance hiking, walking and traversing communities on foot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like anything and everything but probably gravitate mostly to indie music.

Movies: I enjoy them but they aren't too important in my world. I typically forget about the content of a movie just a few hours after I watched it.

Books: I only read paper books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Investing my savings into purchasing a chunk of time to go on an adventure was the best decision and most amazing thing I've done!
