Overview
About Me
I turned 30 this year and I will actually turn 31 in 2 weeks. I realised that my way from 20 to 30 was mainly focused on studying myself and understanding what is important for me, what I want to do in life and what person I wanna be. Now I'm facing a turning point when I got the answers to my questions (at least to some of them) and become really open to the world around and feel joy and pleasure about feeling the rhythms and understanding new locations and new people.
For 10 years I'm doing project management as a job and I'm a professional organiser of cultural and art projects. Last 2 years I was involved into creation of a huge museum in Moscow - Centre of Space and Aviation - and my goal was to interact with numerous multimedia teams and to produce multimedia content for the museum.
My main hobby and passion is singing. I've been doing singing since my early childhood and was also learning to play piano during 10 years (from 4 till 14). I had a wonderful time in 2014 and spent 6 months in Vienna studying opera singing. It was a really cool experience. Now I'm moving to more contemporary music and exercising 3 times a week. Music is my passion and my private space, the moments when I sing give me energy to all the rest activities that I have.
I'm also a visual person and my practice in project management gave me a chance to try myself as an art director and now I feel it's time to try developing my visual language. This November I will start a preparation course and will have a chance to try 3 different directions (graphic design, visual communications and fashion) at the British Higher School of Design in Moscow. And I'm really looking forward doing it.
I didn't have a lot of chances to travel but each time I'm in a new place I'm more interested not in the touristic way but I try to feel what it means to live here, to experience normal everyday life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have no couchsurfing experience so far but I would love to have. My closest friends are actively doing Couchsurfing and I feel it's time to try. I was only interacting with Counchsurfing community in Vienna and it was really cool, I was visiting language meetings and weekly meetings, and it really helped me a lot and gave me a better feeling of the city and the community.
Interests
Besides my professional interest in contemporary art and culture, my passion to singing and desire to develop my design and visual skills, I think it is important to say that I'm a real fan of long city walks. That what helps me to interact with the city I'm living in or I'm travelling to. And I always love to meet people who are as crazy about long distance walks as I am because it is such a pleasure to find a partner in crime, especially in a new city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm more into mainstream and not really much into techno, I'm listening to different jazz (both vocal and instrumental), blues and all kinds of improvisational styles, I also kept my passion to opera and love going to opera performances.
My favourite film directors are Woody Allen (love his humour), Paolo Sorrentino (soo beautiful picture), Charles Chaplin (really means a lot to me), Tim Burton (not all of his movies, but his Bid Fish is my #1) , James Cameron (I really love his approach as a personality and researcher). I also feel really good about soviet movies and some contemporary Russian movies and always glad to share it.
As for the books it is really hard to say. I studied at the department of journalism, so I read 100-s of classical things during 5 years. Now I'm more into motivation books that help me develop myself or find some solution. My long lasting friends are 2 books by Julia Cameron: The Artist's Way and The Vein of Gold. I promise I get back to these books every two years and it really helps me in times when I feel overloaded with work and lack of creative activity in my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I tried to enter the Vienna University for Performing Arts. It was a story I could write a book about. I wasn't and still I am not a professional singer but somehow I decided to make a try. I was doing vocal for 2 years in Moscow, I was doing theory, I made a gap in my career, I applied and I even passed the first solfeggio exam. Unfortunately, I didn't do the main exam and I found afterwards a wonderful teacher and got the explanation. But from today I view this story as a case of how brave I was and I feel grateful for it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can say without any doubt that I'm an easy going person. I speak fluent English and don't feel any language barriers. I have a lot of stories to share about Moscow cultural life and contemporary art, I brought a lot of international artists to Moscow and did exciting happening for the city in framework of the Moscow Museum Night. We can sing together if we find it cool.
