About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being happy and travel the most I can!

ABOUT ME

I am a very cheerful, smiley and friendly person! I'm full of energy all the time and I want to do the most things I can every day of my life! :D
I want to learn the 6 oficial languages of the UN, travel the world and live in the 5 continents by the time I am 35.
I love meeting new people and listening to their interesting stories, i am very easy to amuse and i love stupid humor.
My favorite number is the 8 and I try to cross every line in the floor with my right foot.
I love reading romance novels and get inspired by historical figures.
I also love candy and I can love very easily to new people I meet.
I am so very grateful with God for every new day and I try to find beauty and charm in every situation of life.

PHILOSOPHY

I think you have to give all the love you can to people and be kind to everybody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's an amazing way of meeting every kind of interesting people around the world.
I have made some very good friends with CS and I have learnt a lot from each one of them.

Interests

I am interested in learning different languages, specially the 6 official languages of the United Nations because I want to be able to communicate with the most people I can, but I am also interested in learning Lithuanian and Indonesian.
Moreover, I want to travel around the world, and specially to Asia and Africa because these are the continents I know less of, and i have realized that even when you go to a country you think you know of, you always learn so many new things from it, so i die to travel all Asia and Africa.
I am very passionate about life and I get exited by small things that make me happy every day like observing the moon and the stars and to dance ridiculously alone or with friends.
My family is a huge part of my life and I enjoy being with them all the time, I have a lot of friends and I love them all because of how different they are one from each other.
I enjoy being with all kind of people, specially fun and generous people that are willing to share stories and nice experiences with me and that teach me new things all the time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love colombian "guapachosa" music, i love all the music that has happy vibes, specially that music you can dance with like salsa, merengue, cumbia, vallenato, tambores, gaita, bachata, raggaeton and of course joropo which always make me happy.

Moreover, I also enjoy american pop, and i love french music because i am trying to learn the language and i have fallen for it. I am just starting to listen music in french but I already love Max Boublil, ZAZ and Stromae.
I also had a period of listening only the Beatles and another one of listening only Queen so these groups bring me sweet memories but in general there is not music that I don't enjoy, and I love when people teach me about new artist or genders that I don't know of.

I don't really watch that many movies, I only watch them when i go to the movies or when I am with my cousins or friends and they want to. However, I do like TV series, and my favorites are scrubs, friends, 30 rock, breaking bad, modern family and Gavin and Stacey. I guess if i have to choose, my favorite movies are the Star Wars movies, the trilogy of Matrix and "Before Sunrise", "Before Sunset" and "Before Midnight".

My favorite book is 1984 by Gorge Orwell, which i have read about 3 times, and I find it better every time. I love reading romance novels so i love Milan Kundera and Jane Austen kind of literature but i also enjoy very much reading Isabel Allende, Jules Verne, Borges and Cortázar. On the other hand, i also like the nonsense of Medina Reyes or Chaparro Madiedo and once in a while i like to read biographies of inspiring historic personalities and to fall in love with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On September of 2014, I did a trip by car with a Swedish friend that I met on CS from the south of Sweden in Stockholm to the very North in Luleå. We drove 1.800 km and slept in the car while swimming in the lakes in the way and chasing the northern lights in the night.

On December of 2011, I did an amazing trip with my dad and brother where we crossed Venezuela from the very border with Colombia in El Amparo, Apure State to Santa Elena de Uairén next to the border with Brasil in La Gran Sabana in the Bolivar State. We spent one month doing that and it has been one of the greatest trips I have done so far, La Gran Sabana is one of the most beautiful places I have been to.

On August of 2015 I traveled with sharks in Xcaret, Yucatán, México and i even got the chance to touch one, have it in my legs and feed him. On the same place i did sea trekking with my brother and it was amazing, we had the chance to see hundreds of species of fishes and to touch manta rayas and sea turtles!

For my birthday number 24 i traveled in the same plane from Copenhagen to Oslo with Santa hahaha it was so exiting! and i even told him it was my birthday so he gave me a norwegian candy :D he was there in order to go to a Santas' meeting, I wonder what do they discuss in those meetings...

In 2015 I did an amazing trip from Colombia to Mexico, the US, India, Thailand, UAE and Turkey; during this trip I got to do a lot of incredible things, like taking a hot air ballom ride in Cappadocia, Turkey, going up to the floor number 124 of the Burj Khalifa to observe the city in Dubai and to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra, swiming with sharks in Mexico, hugging elephants in Thailand and going to the Top of the Rock in NYC.

In May 2016 I went to Machu Pucchu with my brother and dad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to dance salsa, merengue and reggaetón, I can also teach some spanish, english, french or portuguese and all I can about my culture.

I would love to learn about other people's cultures, the meaning of the colors in their flags, if they really like their president, what music do they dance and what food do they eat and specially the way they say hello, thank you and good bye in their languages...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my friendship and enthusiasm and i always try to bring them Colombian candies o whatever's more similar to them.
