57, easy-going, friendly, passionate about sustainability, an optimistic dreamer, gardener, massage therapist. Galen is nearly 18, calm and thoughtful, getting ready to hike the Appalachian Trail, and a wonderful human being, if I do say so myself...

Optimistic. I still think I can change things in my own corner of the world. Progressive, I guess, but I also profess my ignorance, especially of politics...

All one. We're all one. I feel it most when I'm out in nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We (my son Galen and I) are planning a trip to Austin and San Antonio, Texas February 2014. We're looking forward to some hiking, a taste of city, and meeting some new folks.

Have hosted a few travelers, but not through this website.

Interests

Maria is a mother, a gardening and permaculture enthusiast, and a massage therapist; aspires to speak Spanish, and hopes to attend a Spanish language immersion school some day. I love to hike. Galen graduated from Maine Academy of Natural Sciences, plays guitar, and is interested in philosophy and introspection. He hiked 900 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Galen is currently in Ojai, CA (10/14)
