Hello couch surfers, how are you?

So, as you might have notice by now my name is Mariah (not Maria as one might think) and I’m from Brazil. I’m a chocoholic, movie lover, and I adore animals (have 3 cats and 4 dogs back home). I’m currently living and studying at my birth city Manaus in Brazil, which is in the middle of the Amazon rain forest, so if you are planning on visiting I have a lot of tips that can give to you.

I like different and randomly kinds of adventure, like Spend a week doing an kayak trip to a glacier or do canyoning in a river, even tho i’m not that athletic.

I spent 6 months in Alaska in 2015, during which I learned different cultures, not only American but also the different life style of Alaskan people, and had to deal with the extreme difference of the climate of the state from my native climate. Believe me, it wasn’t easy.

After using CS for the first time by accident (my friend asked a random guy he met on instagram if he knew any CS at Faro and he said he could have us over and end up he was a CS veteran) I realized how amazing it was and wanted to be part of it.

Mostly using to get tips from locals but sometimes had people over when I was living in Porto, Portugal, doing Erasmus, where I met the most amazing people in the world.

I’m a really extrovert girl and like to talk a lot, but I’m also a good listener. If need any help knowing more about Alaska, Porto or Brazil I will be happy to help and answer all your questions.
