About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love sharing what I like to do around my hometown with travelers, to point you in the right direction and know that you are probably going to enjoy something that I love about where I live. I’m always hopeful I get to share any homegrown fruit that I have growing, too. Some of the most fun I’ve had in my travels are with locals. It’s pretty much the best.
Even more awesome is to offer up our homes or yards for couches and tents to be pitched to make travel more interesting & accessible.
Sharing is awesome, pure and simple.
Interests
Surfing, nature, art, listening to music, music festivals and shows.
I’m an outdoor instructor with kids in the summer, leading surfing, kayaking, SUP, mountain biking, ropes course/climbing wall and hiking.
My free time is almost always outside and I have worked outside most of my life. I owe my parents for all those beach days and camping trips, for the boogie board and chance to ski/snowboard and for the hikes that were sometimes too hard/long.
I also booked live music at a quaint vintage lounge for the last 4 years and hosted some of the bands after their shows. I love hanging with musicians and artists and am creative with those as well.
Surfing is my favorite thing. I’ve been riding waves most of my life. Since I was 3 with my little boogie board. Extended surf travel is something I have had the intense pleasure of(in Baja, Mexico) and it’s a continual dream and goal. I’m doing all I can to keep that worked into my life around my seasonal outdoor work... which is what has brought me to Hawaii on an open ended adventure, seeking surf, connection to the land, and potentially some good work.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Backyard harvests of seasonal fruit and veggies, surfing/wave-riding, hiking trails, a place to pop up a tent in the beautiful, semi-rural yard complete with stars(usually), owls hooting, and the sound of
Dew drops falling from the trees when the ocean fog makes its way a mile in. Potentially the place to crash on the floor of a the very small 280 square ft. studio- a converted barn- I live in.
