I'm simple, easy going and humorous. I smile a lot, I like to laugh and enjoy the beautiful things life has to offer. I suck at confrontations (usually I tend to keep stuff to myself) but I'm sympathetic, warm and a person you can rely on. I'm also nice and cheerful! Ok, except when I don't eat or sleep well then I'm grumpy Maria! I like to spend time by myself like watching a movie, cooking or just walking around the city in a sunny day. I really enjoy spending time with others specially interesting people willing to teach me something new about the world and themselves. I like sitting in a café and talking, going to a party, listening to live music or doing outdoor activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met so many beautiful people from all around the world while I was volunteering in Poland that I want to continue to share, to experience and to feel that energy that somehow connects us all. I would like to meet nice, chilled people willing to join me in whatever will be happening when they come to Porto. Eventually walk around the city.. oh well, you tell me what you feel like doing then!

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinema, cinema... where to start? I love european movies like control, Lost in translation, Melancholia, El laberinto del Fauno; the good old classics like The godfather, Goodfellas and Kubrick's masterpieces and also hollywood cinema like Shutter Island, American Beauty or interstellar! Inside Llewyn davis, Shame, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mine, Her, Mr. Nobody, Detachment, the virgin suicides... big full heart! I love to listen to music but I don't have a favorite type. I swing between jazz, bossa nova, eletro, indie rock, ambient, downtempo... It depends on my mood! Lately I've been in the mood of Bonobo, Devendra Banhart and kings of convenience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I work during the week so I'm mostly free to spend time with people on the weekends. I keep myself updated about cultural/other stuff happening in porto, so If you feel like it you might join me :) Important stuff: couchsurfing for me is definitely a way to share interests, points of view and cultures, and to spend my free time in a better company than my own. So if you somehow seek something else please do not contact me, I do not wish awkwardness. Apart from that, please do!
