About Me
Hey! I'm María José from Chile! I graduated from university last year and I started traveling. Last year I went to Central America for 3 months and Denver, Co for another 3 months. In 2012-13 i lived in Co. working as an Au Pair.
I've seen that many hosts/travelers want to learn Spanish. Well, I studied English language and literature, I have 5 years experience as an English tutor, and I definitely could teach my first language, Spanish, too. I'd be grateful to exchange my knowledge for accommodation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love traveling
Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE MUSIC. Movies, almost everything except for most Hollywood (always same script) movies (good bye Lenin, the skin i live in, Gaspar Noé, Tarantino...) Books, almost everything, preferentially classics, philosophy, linguistics, sociology (the scarlet letter, Simone de Beauvoir, Virginia Woolf <3)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking in Central America and living for a year in USA. Working in a hostel in Denver, Co.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching, it is actually what i do for living. I'd love to teach Spanish or English if my host is trying to learn one of those languages. I enjoy talking about whatever and sharing my culture and knowledge with others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences, culture, language, music, literature, beers, coffee!, etc.
