ABOUT ME

Introduce yourself to the community.Hello, we are a couple living in the country near the river elbe.Our children have left home for starting their own lives.We both work in our jobs, and as hobby we play in a band, mainly folk and country. We love travelling, hiking, being outside, listening to music, going to club-concerts in Hamburg, meeting people and many things more.

PHILOSOPHY

How do you live your life?we are both free-lancers ( www.falconkite.de ) , I m a physio-therapist ,shiatsu-practioner and pilates-coach, and therefore seem to have not enough off-time ! we are very aware and critical about environement and politics on the whole, as we live close to a nominated nuclear waste deposit area. Since 30 years the people here fight against it with quite some success. And also with a growing conscience of what politics are about. I think we live a rather simple life, and that s our aim too.we are very grateful for the life we can live here and mostly content and happy.We try and make a few breaks of the routine by going off to see friends or travel a bit.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, activities... there’s a lot to do here. What’s your favorite way to get involved?we are looking forward to hosting people, from all over and getting to know them and by talking having the oppurtunity to expand our mind horizon =), showing them our beautieful countryside, letting them take part in our way of lifeAlso we are keen on going different places and meeting people there, seeing how they live,sharing thoughts and visions together.
you will have at least a couch to sleep on, and often there will be a spare bed in a room. it is very quiet here and surrounded by country ! We do have to work every day, but hours vary, so we have time to share.there s an old dog living with us, very friendly once he gets so know you !!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What kinds of experiences have you had through CouchSurfing?up to now we have no experience yet, but looking forward to making somewe have information about CS from friends who have been in this community for some years now

Interests

What do you like to do in your free time?we love listening to music and playing it too ! we are in a band-gone fishin- Klaus plays Banjo, guitar, and vocals, and I play the guitar, mandoline and sing too. We do a few little concerts per year locally...it s mainly fun !we love going for long walks, Klaus loves woodworking in many aspects. I love my gardening, and reading books ( if i ever find time...) we enjoy watching movies, and preparing and having healthy food.I have relatives in England and we love visiting our friends there and love the english country-side ( bacon sandwich & whiskey)
