About Me

I m 20 years old. If there is one thing I know, it is that I love meeting new people from all around the world. It makes me more aware of what the world is like, and how us human beings as remote as we can be from each other, can connect and feel infinitely comfortable together. Dancing with someone I know since 2 hours, telling secrets to people we have never seen before, laughing to tears... are what make life smooth.

In the things I prefer about life, there is being with my family and friends, reading, swimming, hiking in nature, meeting new people, crying of happiness, eating good food, being touched by a conversation, travelling as if there is no tomorrow, taking real care of my fellow human beings.

I would describe myself as optimistic, enthusiastic, very analytic, sociable, extreme, intense, very fast and curious. I hope my curiosity will not offend you.

I always lived in France but I tend to travel more and more since I am eighteen. I feel like travelling enriches me in so many ways... I would be happy to share a moment with you !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It s a beautiful way to travel and meet incredible people. Generosity is a value that quite disappeared from most western countries but I do believe that there is still some beautiful souls out there. Couchsurfing is all about sharing : the host does, the guest does too. There is so many ways to share... Bringing nice food, explaining a story, telling words in your mother language, giving the name of a book, contacting two people that would like each other, looking at the same thing with the same feeling... It has no limits.

Music, Movies, and Books

In music, I love :
- Music of the 60ies from northern america and France. They have a charm that I hardly find in today s music. I love beautiful lyrics !
-Classic music, so logical and powerful, I often cry listening to it. I enjoy going to classic music concerts.
-Artists like FAUVE, Gaël Faye, that write songs with beautiful, meaningful, poetic, soft or violent lyrics, always with a great intelligence and nice instruments behind.
-Congolese music, from the 60es especially. My father being from Democratic Republic of Congo, these songs remind me of my childhood strongly. The guitar, voices, soft lyrics in lingala singing of independance and love and friendship do touch my heart and soul.

In movies, I love those that have a very deep study of the charachter's personnality. I want the movie to be original and teach me about something important happening in the world I didn't know before. A movie can be a great piece of art.

These days in books I prefer true stories, autobiographies, real stuff ! But I have a love for french literature, for example Romain Gary, Laurent Gaudé, Delphine de Vigan, Akli Tadjer... I love stories where the psychology of the main character is very precisely depicted ! To be honest, I am so curious that I can read a book about how does a daisy grow or where do manta rays live ans still be enthusiastic cause I love learning so much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent one month in Scotland, far from everything, in the highlands. The mountains, lochs and trees were surrounding us. It was beautiful to see nature so closely evreday, see eagles, squirrels, deers, sheep, living on nature's rythm. Deep connections to nature are the most extraordinary moments I had.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about ANYTHING, i am very curious. I am always hungry for learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My joy, my knowledge about psychology, the culture of France, french, stories about my travels, my experience as a double culture child, in the middle between French culture and Congolese culture, being seen as an African in most eurpopean countries and as a white and rich girl in most african countries, speaking german or english, dancing, cooking together, going for a hike, giving advice about health and food...

Quotes I love :

"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears". Mandela

"What I mean is that she had eyes where it was so good to live that I have never known where to go since." Romain Gary (Promesse de l'aube)

"Circumstances never fail to a man; his attitude does". Unknown

"Always be a little kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."
J. M. Barry
