I am Marika i was born in small city of Georgia Chiatura. I was studying at the Tbilisi State University sociology and then i decided to concentrate on cultural studies and i got my master degree in Psychological Anthropology. i live in Tbilisi now and working at the environmental consulting organisation.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

i love traveling, few month ago i was traveling in Iran and i first experienced Couchsurfing. it was the one of the best experience in my life, because beside the cultural sights and places, i met local people and get closer to their everyday life and values. i decided to make Couchsurfing -host and use this community to make my trip more interesting.

Interesses

When i have free time and resources i'm traveling inside Georgia or abroad. Also i like to attend the music festivals and concerts ,if i have opportunity i go there. Beside my work i like to volunteer in different areas, like animal shelters, in social therapy house , in daily centers. Also , when i have free time i like to be involved in different art projects, like creating photo stories, narratives , anthropological movies about different social issues.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Music is a big part of my everyday life, i listen different type of music, it depends on mood, but my favorite bands are: Radiohead, Sigur Ros, the National, the EELS and etc. :). I enjoy watching movies , i love many of them, my favorite movies are: Arizona dream, a short movie about love, boy with bicycle ,color blue and many other :). i like spend my time reading books, i love: Unbearable lightness of being, Hopscotch,Master and Margarita, Thousands Cranes and etc.
