¡Hola! Soy Marian, naci en Saladillo, provincia de Buenos Aires. Estudié Artes en las ciudad de La Plata y luego me fui de viaje de mochilera a Peru! Desde entonces siempre en movimiento, vuelvo a visitar a la familia en el campo, recargó energía y vuelvo a salir!!
Viaje por Latinoamérica, hats Venezuela, generalmente haciendo dedo. Viví unos años en el norte Argentino, Jujuy. Viaje por europa y me quede en Bournemouth 5 meses. Viaje por Estados Unidos y Canadá hasta Alaska. Actualmente estoy viajando en auto. Comencé en Barcelona, recorriendo Francia, Italia, ahora Suiza!!

Durante mis viajes trabaje como cocinera, artesana, operadora en una empresa de bungee jumping en el Amazonas, limpieza, camarera, soldadora, ayudante de instalador de puertas y ventanas, ayudante de electricista, pizzera… cuando vuelvo a mi ciudad natal trabajo como profesora de Artes y en ocasiones, trabaje en cine y teatro como ambientadora y escenografa.
Actualmente voy viajando, dibujando fanzines (mini-libritos) en los que plasmo historias, aprendizajes y vivencias. Me encanta el intercambio, conocer personas, comidas ,culturas, son para mi la fuente de inspiracion! Me encanta conocer nuevos sabores! Y cocinar también!

Hi! I'm Marian, born in Saladillo, Buenos Aires province. At 17, I moved to the city of La Plata, where I studied Arts. Since I finished my studies, my life has been a constant journey, always in movement, although I always return to my family home in the Buenos Aires countryside and to Jujuy, which also feels like home to me.
I was traveling in Latin America, mostly hitchhiking. Then, I crossed the Atlantic and explored Europe. Back in America, I traveled through the United States and Canada all the way to Alaska.
To fund my travels in Latin America and Europe, I've worked in a variety of jobs: cook, artisan, operator in a bungee jumping company in the Amazon, house and hotel cleaner, welder, window and door installer’s assistant, electrician’s assistant, and street pizza vendor.
During my returns to Buenos Aires, I worked as an Art teacher I also worked in film and theater as a set decorator and scenographer.
Currently, I am traveling through Europe, drawing and making zines (mini-books) where I capture stories, lessons, and experiences. I am passionate about meeting new people and cultures; they are my source of inspiration! I am always willing to learn and share my experiences.
I love discovering new flavors and cooking too!!

Valoro profundamente la hospitalidad y la generosidad que esta comunidad ofrece, y me encanta la idea de poder devolver lo mismo cuando estoy en casa en Buenos Aires o en Jujuy. Espero poder compartir mis conocimientos de arte, mis fanzines y talleres, y aprender de los anfitriones y otros viajeros que conozca en el camino. y mi amor por el arte y la enseñanza se nutre de estas conexiones. Compartir historias, aprendizajes y experiencias enriquece tanto mi vida personal como profesional. Since I started traveling, I've discovered that the most valuable part of each destination is the people I meet along the way. Couchsurfing offers me the unique opportunity to connect with locals and travelers, allowing me to truly immerse myself in the cultures I visit. Additionally, when I'm not traveling, I love hosting travelers and integrating them into my daily life. It's another way to travel without moving, letting me experience new adventures and learn from different perspectives without leaving home.

Interests

Me interesa el arte en todas sus ramas: conocer museos, castillos, construcciones antiguas y también el diseño contemporáneo. ¡Me encantan las ferias de comida, de artesanos, de ropa, de todo! Amo la naturaleza más que las ciudades, pero disfruto de ambas. Me gusta caminar, hacer senderismo en la montaña o perderme en las ciudades descubriendo arte por todos lados. Saco muchas fotos porque luego las uso para dibujar, ¡jaja!

Me gustan las aventuras y experimentar cosas nuevas, actividades desconocidas. Me adapto muy bien a diferentes entornos y eso me encanta.

Me gusta la música y disfruto mucho escuchar música en vivo. También me encanta conocer las bibliotecas de los lugares que visito. Me gustan las novelas gráficas y cada una tiene sus tesoros. Tomo mucho mate, me gusta el vino y conversar.

Sigo aprendiendo y mejorando mi inglés cada día. El catalán lo comprendo bastante y el italiano... ¡creo que lo llevo dentro mío, jaja! Me encanta el italiano. El francés me gusta, pero me cuesta, ¡y hasta ahí nomás llego!

Como buena descendiente italiana, me encanta comer. Me gusta aprender nuevas recetas y el intercambio gastronómico. Generalmente, prefiero comida rica, sana y saludable, pero hago mis excepciones. ¡Soy súper flexible!

I’m interested in art in all its forms: exploring museums, castles, ancient buildings, and contemporary design. I love food fairs, artisan markets, clothing markets—pretty much anything! I adore nature more than cities, but I enjoy both. I like walking, hiking in the mountains, or getting lost in cities discovering art everywhere. I take lots of photos because I use them later for drawing, haha!

I enjoy adventures and trying new things, and I’m always up for new activities. I adapt very well to different environments, and I love that.

I like music and really enjoy listening to live performances. I also love discovering the libraries in the places I visit. I’m into graphic novels, each of which has its own treasures. I drink a lot of mate, enjoy wine, and like to chat.

I’m continually learning and improving my English every day. I understand Catalan quite well, and Italian... I think I have it in me, haha! I adore Italian. I like French, but I find it challenging, and that’s about where I stop!

As a proud Italian descendant, I love to eat. I enjoy learning new recipes and the exchange of culinary traditions. Generally, I prefer delicious, healthy, and wholesome food, but I make exceptions. I’m very flexible!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Viaje un año por Latinoamérica, viví tres meses en Amazonas. En Calgary, Canadá, experimenté el frío extremo, con temperaturas que llegaron a menos 40 grados Celsius, viajando en motorhome.

For a year, I embarked on a backpacking adventure, hitchhiking from Jujuy, Argentina, to Adicora, Venezuela.

Me encanta crear, cocinar, jugar, bailar. Puedo ayudarte con el español y poner toda mi creatividad y conocimientos a tu alcance. Me gusta el intercambio. Disfruto sentirme parte de una red de gente linda que comprende la importancia del dar y recibir, del ida y vuelta, o como dice mi amigo, del "win-win" o "gana-gana". Vivo en Saladillo, una ciudad a 180 km de Buenos Aires capital. Aunque vivo en el campo, estoy muy cerca de la ciudad, a solo 5 minutos en coche. Vivo en un lugar muy verde y tranquilo, hogar de diversos animales como vacas, ovejas, gallinas, gatos, perros y un caballo adoptado!
Puedo ofrecerte un lugar para disfrutar de la belleza natural y la tranquilidad del campo.
Una cama cómoda para que descanses y te sientas como en casa, comida casera, caminatas por el campo y paseos por la city!
Cuando no estoy viajando Saladillo es mi refugio, donde hay muchos amigos y gente hermosa con quienes compartir buenos momentos!
