Sobre mí

NO COPY&PASTE REQUESTS. Read my profile and tell me why you want to stay with me!

Well, I'm Marian :) I don't like those "about me" questions, but I'll try so you can have an idea …
I'm rather the vivid type, I like to talk about whatever a lot, I like to understand and think about how things work (things= technical stuff as well as society, languages etc) and joking around...
I like to sit around somewhere (preferably outside) with some beers and both having conversations on serious stuff and chatting about nonsense.

(See interests for the rest)

Generally, I'm open to mostly anybody, but I'm somewhat narrow-minded concerning some shitfuck opinions, so if you think that it's their own fault that women are underrepresented everywhere and underpaid, that gays&lesbians&etc shouldn't be allowed to [insert anything here] because [insert shitfuck reason here] and that we can afford to save banks but not refugee , etc - then please go buy a time machine and travel back to the 50s or something.

.

PLEASE NOTE: If you write me, add a few words on what makes you want to stay with me (why you think we'll have a good time, etc). This is NOT optional, I'll probably answer "no" if you don't. I don't mean to be rude, I just want to make sure that people did actually read my profile and that we fit together (more or less at least :) )
And it would be cool if you could tell me where on the scale from "need a bed but will discover Berlin on my own" to "I'm travelling alone and would like to spend time with you" you are (both is okay, just cool to know beforehand)

To allow me to easily filter out the thousands of people who don't read this, please start your message by telling me that you are very close-minded and hate to travel. (Really do that please, I need that in order not to waste my time reading all those copy'n'paste requests ;) )

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I joined during my Erasmus year in France, where I traveled around quite a lot. I enjoyed it a lot because I made the experience that you see more of a city when you meet locals. (Okay, let's be honest, money is also somewhat a reason.)
After returning home, I decided to try hosting myself, too, so be my guest :)

Intereses

I study computer science and physics, and I enjoy that, so I'll add that as hobby, too :) Same goes for my work (I work with kids)
I like to talk about stuff, for example politics (feminism, antifascism, anticapitalism) and languages (about how different languages work; differences and similarities between them...) (btw: write me in your language if it is one of those I speak, I prefer them to english!)
I also like to take photos (but the "artist" and technically-perfectionist way, rather than taking selfies in front of castles etc :) )
I like to ride by bike and discover new corners I didn't know before.
I like to be outside somewhere as soon as it's warm and nice...
There's plenty of other stuff I like to do but do too rarely...

  • beer
  • politics
  • cycling
  • computer science
  • languages
  • physics
  • feminism

Música, películas y libros

Movies: I think I don't have a favorite movie, I doubt there is one I've watched more than 2 or 3 times. In general I like movies that are funny, but have something to say, not that shallow comedy/rom-com/blockbuster stuff.

Music: Mostly electro, more exactly: techno/minimal; also indie/rock/alternative stuff.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

"Couchsurfing University", eh okay... Well: When I'd actually have to study, I read wikipedia articles on railway signals and bizarre grammatical constructs. I can tell you about that :D
and I can tell you how to tie your shoelaces really fast.
Also, there's a wikipedia article about every street crossing in Berlin and I have read them all (no, just kiddin, but for reals, people say I know a lot about Berlin)
