About Me

I am 24 years old. I live in Mexico City, and I'm looking forward to study a master's degree abroad in the future. I just finished college, and I'm looking for new experiences. Right now I cannot host because I live with my parents, and because Mexico is in a difficult moment regarding safety, but I would love to do it when I live alone and under better circumstances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new on Couchsurfing, but I joined because I love travelling and meeting new people with different perspectives of the world. I haven't been to many countries yet, but I really expect to visit the most I can throughout my life. I would like my trips to be more than a touristy experience, and for them to be more real. I'm interested in knowing how daily life works in each place. I want to know how people see their own hometown, and I want to learn from this.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to choose a favorite genre of each, but I especially like alternative, indie, folk, soul, and latin music. I like movies about human relationships, regardless of the genre. They can be comedy, drama, thriller. For example, I like The Constant Gardener, The Hours, Call Me by Your Name, The Perks of Being a Flower, The Innocents, etc.
I like reading a lot. I especially like essays, novels, history and philosophy books. Lately I prefer reading books written by women because I feel closer to their writing. Some of my favorite books are Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde, Let's Spit on Hegel by Carla Lonzi, City by Alessandro Baricco, and The Man Who Loved Dogs by Leonardo Padura.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went whale watching in Alaska, and it was amazing!
