About Me

My name is Mariana but everyone calls me Maruki ever since I was 13. In fact, I have lots of others surnames, and thinking it now I think that speaks of my great capability of making friends. I consider myself to have a voracious curiosity, that is in fact my engine to do all things in general. That curiosity is the one that led me to study two careers, Politic Science and Philosophy. While at first they may seem throughly different careers, the common denominator is, again, my curiosity, that helps me read with the very same enthusiasm either Plato or Weber. And that is also what makes me connect so good with people: because I read them like books; I believe everyone has a story to tell, or better, every pair of people can bond somewhere, we can meet somewhere, and I subconsciously always go and find that meeting point with almost everyone, that is I think my greatest virtue. I think I could resume it in the word: Empathy. To be conscious of the other around you. That is why I want to travel through my LatinAmerica, to get to know the different experiences of the people of the world I feel the closest to, to expand my own personal cosmovision of the way things are. Warning: Philosophical and political conversation may (will) arise.
