About Me

I'm a Mexican girl longing to learn and see a lot. I'm especially fond of theater and filmmaking. I was born in Mexico City and I've been living here for my whole life. I love this beautiful and crazy city full of strange and crazy people. I thank this city for showing me so much, making me a freethinker and always giving me the opportunity to learn something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main reason to be in couchsurfing is I want to know the world! This applies by visiting different countries or meeting people from them. I've had the pleasure to live with a German girl for a year and this experience changed my life. I spent the last October, November and December in Germany working as a volunteer trying to improve my German. It was an experience that made me see I want to keep traveling my whole life. I met some people through couchsurfing events and it was awesome.

Interests

I like anything that has to do with arts, theater mostly. I like discovering new places in my city, tasting new food (I try everything), debating about complex or simple subjects, dogs. I love watching movies and discussing about them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Three of my favorite books might be Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and A Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez.

It is too hard for me to choose favorite movies but to mention some at the top of my list: Cinema Paradiso by Giuseppe Tornatore, American Beauty by Sam Mendes, The Secret in Their Eyes by Juan J. Campanella, and Laurence Anyways and Mommy by Xavier Dolan.

I don't have a favorite musician but I can listen to almost anything. At the top of my list are Coldplay, Queen, Plain White Ts, The Beatles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won second place in a Monologue Contest in my school with a monologue I wrote. It might not be as amazing for anyone but for me it was, performing a monologue was a big deal for me and even more if I had written it.
Traveling through some countries in Europe by myself, being my first big trip all alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some experience in amateur theater but I am willing to teach anything from it to anyone. I also have good English and I took some Teachers Course lessons on how to teach it.

GERMAN GERMAN GERMAN PLEASE. I always want to practice my German as much as I can.
I want to learn about ANYTHING. I have realized there is just too much to learn about anyone or anyplace. I would like to learn how to play an instrument and varied dancing styles. I also want to learn another language, especially French, Italian or Portuguese.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The best I can offer would be my sincere self as a Chilanga born and raised in Mexico City, which for me, is the most crazy and beautiful city in the world. I can also sing for you, give you lots of film recommendations, play card games or charades.
