Hi, everybody! My name is Mariana. I am twenty-four years old and I have just got my degree on medicine. I have decided to spend 2016 travelling, an activity that I really love and enjoy.
I am easygoing and I usually talk a lot. I am curious, very active and restless. I always try to cope with new situations. I like sharing moments and I am open to meeting new people who eventually may become friends.
I would like to work for an NGO during my trip.

Hola mundo ! Mi nombre es Mariana, tengo 24 años y soy médica recién recibida. Este año (2016) año decidí dedicarme a viajar con la mochila a cuestas ya que es algo que realmente me apasiona y disfruto mucho.
Soy sociable y suelo hablar mucho. Soy curiosa, muy activa e inquieta e intento adaptarme rápidamente a cualquier situación. Me gusta compartir momentos y soy abierta a conocer gente nueva que muchas veces son futuros amigos!
Me gustaría durante el viaje trabajar como voluntaria en alguna ONG.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is one of my great passions. During the trips I have made I have enjoyed and learned a lot about the culture and lifestyle of native people, more than just sightseeing around tourist places. That’s why I love the idea of sharing daily life with people living on the other side of the globe.

Viajar es una de mis grandes pasiones. En los viajes que he realizado disfruté y aprendí mucho más acerca de la cultura y el modo de vida junto a la gente nativa, que paseando solamente por sitios turísticos. Por esta razón, me encanta la idea de compartir y conocer la rutina diaria que lleva la gente del otro lado del mundo.

Interests

I like learning and experiencing new situations as well as visiting different places, meeting people, trying food and exotic flavours.
I would be interested in learning new languages, since I only speak Spanish and my English is not very fluent.
I love doing sports like gymnastics, running, climbing and cycling. I am also keen on any kind of dance, mainly Central American tropical style.
I am interested in learning about different religions and beliefs. Personally, I do not belong to a specific one, I think that all of us believe in the same exceptional power and that religion is a human invention.

Me gusta aprender y experimentar cosas nuevas. Visitar distintos lugares, conocer gente nueva, probar comidas y sabores que no conozco.
Me interesaría aprender nuevos idiomas ya que solo hablo español y mi Inglés no es tan fluido.
Me encanta hacer deportes, como gimnasia, salir a correr, escalar y andar en bicicleta. Y también disfruto mucho de cualquier tipo de baile, sobre todo los ritmos tropicales centroamericanos.
Me interesa conocer y saber acerca de distintas religiones y creencias ya que no adopto ninguna porque considero que todos creemos en la misma fuerza extraordinaria y que la religión es un invento del ser humano.

Music, Movies, and Books

Three activities that I love and enjoy.
I listen to any kind of music, mainly rock, folk (national music) and reggae. As regards dancing I prefer bachata, merengue, salsa or rumba.
Films are ideal for a rainy weekend at home or any free time when I can go to the cinema. The types of films I watch depend on my mood.
I have read since I was a little girl, mainly novels, but I have changed to psychology and positivism lately.

Tres actividades que amo y disfruto
Escucho todo tipo de música sobre todo rock, folcklore (música nacional) reggae y para bailar elijo bachata merengue salsa o rumba !
Las películas son ideales para un fin de semana lluvioso en casa o cualquier momento libre en el que pueda ir al cine. El género a elegir varía según mi estado de ánimo.
Desde que soy pequeña me gusta mucho leer, siempre elegí novela pero últimamente prefiero libros sobre psicología y positivísimo.
