I am Mariana from Chile, I have been travelling from almost 5 years. I started this adventure in my own country, when I went out from my home land in 2010 to another city, Iquique. I Lived there two years and half. It was great experience to live in north extreme, between sea and desert. Then I went to live in New Zealand, amazing place too, for eighteen months. After that I went to Denmark for one year, nice experience too. Nowadays I am living in South Spain, Arcos de la Frontera, only for six month. I`m so confortable here.. that I would stay for long time more but I am on back way to Chile. About my person I consider myself very friendly and reliable. I like to make friend in everywhere, in fact I have good friends in almost every place where I have been. I love to share anything that to contribute to get a good moment. Can be from to cook a great typical food or watch the sunset if possible or even get out walk the dog at evening. Things like these make me feel closer to people and that makes me very happy :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like too much travel, but what I more like is to meet people from the place where I travel. Few times I have made a booking because my travelling way is not always like tourist. Usually I rent some place for living (as flatmate) or sometime even I have been working for food and lodging through Workaway. I've never participated in Couchsurfing before because always I wanted to try this experience first as Host but from my own place. But during these years many people and friend they recommend me this system. So here we go ;)

Interests

Other things that are of my admiration in wherever I am, they are the local craft and the independent design, about that when I am travelling I enjoy too much visit some store or to attend a design market. Also I've always been fascinated by sustainable development projects by diverse creatives enterprises or small communities of permaculture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Usually I listen any kind of music but enjoyed too much spanish and latin music specially artists from my country, however always I appreciate others suggestions. I'm not totally used to watch movies but when is winter and the days are so cold they are ideal for me stay in home and enjoy some TV series. In regarding books, always I have some bedside book as novels or story book. Lately I'm reading Isabel Allende.
