COVID-19 Update: We love hosting travellers from far and wide. However, in view of the current pandemic, we are currently not welcoming visitors in our home. This is both to keep the Couchsurfing community at large safe and help flatten the curve, as well as to protect the 2 members of our household who have asthma. After the shelter in place mandates are lifted, we will probably protect our family for a further 2 months to be sure we are all completely safe. We will be thrilled to return to hosting at that time.

We recently returned from a year RV travelling with our 3 kids, ages 9, 7, and 5. It was a wonderful experience and we would love to exchange travel stories. We have been hosting with Couchsurfing and Warm Showers for over 10 years, and we love to meet other people who are passionate about travelling and hospitality.

Our year of RV travel was not our first family adventure. We've also done a nice 557-Kilometre cycle tour with our kids back in 2016, when they were 6, 4, and 2.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best travelling experiences happen when you stay with people who know about the area you are visiting.

I love hearing others' stories about their travel experiences, as well as telling my own.

I have had some amazing experiences, both as a host and as a couchsurfer, and it's my hope to encourage others to live life to the fullest by learning all that travelling this way can offer.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I enjoy all music except rap. I lean more towards rock and alternative and some lighter heavy metal.

Movies: Action and action comedies are my favourite kind, but I'll watch anything but horror.

Books: All genres except horror. I tend to read mostly non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing thing I've seen: Yosemite National Park in California is a wonderful place, especially if you like hiking and being surrounded by nature. If you love waterfalls, this place is not to be missed.

Amazing thing I've done: giving birth to three children naturally, in my home, with the help of my wonderful husband and amazing midwives and doulas. Seeing your child for the first time is a feeling that cannot be described in words.
