I was feeling unhappy, as I was facing a very toxic work atmosphere. So I have decided to quit my job and have a gap year, to focus on my health and well-being, re-connect with friends, and plan my future. I have mostly stayed home since quiting my job, but I am now planning a trip to Australia :-D

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I first join in 2009, during my Erasmus term in Hungary - it was a great way to meet locals and make my time in Hungary even more special. Meanwhile, as I started to work, I drifted apart from Couchsurfing. But as I am now trying to have a simpler and more connected lifestyle, I felt like returning to the Couchsurfing community.

兴趣

I love to visit exhibitions, and go to the cinema and theatre. I love to read and watch people at cafés. I have recently attended two travel festivals, and found them really inspiring!

I am not as criterious as I probably should be concerning the music I listen to - I'll just listen to whatever is on the radio. I have recently watched the film " Sorry we missed you", by Ken Loach; I felt I had been punched in the stomach - a must watch! My favorite author is Isabel Allende - I love how passionate her characters are!

I love learning languages, and I am hoping to improve my English during my time in Australia. I am also down for teaching Portuguese.
I have recently developped an interest in mindfulness and meditation - I am hoping I will explore that further over the next months.
