ABOUT ME

I am 23 years old and currently living in Mexico City- about to make the move to Toronto ON as I recently graduated from studying Foods and Nutrition at Western University and will be starting a masters at the University of Toronto! I am originally from Mexico City but moved to Canada in 2010 and have lived there ever since :) I love traveling, languages, and meeting new people. I took a gap year after high school to travel, mostly around Mexico working in several small communities in environmental, agricultural and education projects. I also did my first trip to europe during that year, and stayed with couchsurfers all around. I can 100% say that year defined me as a person and helped me discover my passions and motivations in life. Since then, I traveled to Rwanda and India for summer internships, both experiences which greatly defined me and my future aspirations. I constantly seek to meet as many people as I can and keep discovering the world around me!

Interests

I love anything to do with nature. I think it is fascinating the way we interact with our environment and im very interested in permaculture, agriculture and ecology in general. I have spent a whole year now working as a volunteer, I love the feeling of being able to help someone and seeing the results reflected in their lives. I love sports- I played tennis as a kid and reached a very competitive level in high school. I was also the captain of the tennis team at western University.I am fascinated by different cultures and the differences that set us apart and yet bring us all together. During my travels, i have met people from all over the world and it has definitely been an amaazing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Colola, Michoacan, I experienced the most beautiful sceneries ever. The skies at night were covered in stars and you could see a shooting star at least every minute. We slept on the beach and spent the most amazing nights ever.
