One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Arctic. Wild cariboo. Machu Picchu. Aerosmith in concert. Tikal under the rain. Swimming in fluorescent water in BC. Having a giant rouster as a pet when I was 9. The view from Blackcomb and Whistler peak. Smoking cigars in Havana. Had a goat pet at my parents house until she passed away last year. Three month archaeological excavation in the peruvian desert. French pastries (worth dying for). The Saint-Lawrence River islands.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to share the same vision of CS with my surfers. Here are a few things that are important to me.
1) Every CS experience should be based on respect of the other. If I can't offer a hospitable environment, I simply don't host. When I host people, they are a priority and they are intitled to their private space and time. They sleep in the living room and for the time they are here, it's all theirs. I believe it is important to have a personal space when we travel so I respect that. Also, they will not have to share their space with unknown people.
2) NO FREELOADERS. No one likes to feel like they are being used and taken advantage of. CS is about sharing, it's an exchange.
