Sobre mí

I´m Marianela and I´m 32 years old. I´m a really calm and quiet person; who likes to travel slowly and getting lost in each place to get to know it better.
I was born in a small town in Argentina; and moved to Buenos Aires when I was 18 with my brothers and sisters. We´re five, so I learned to share (well, mostly they took my food). Because of this I learned how to cook and to keep the house clean.
Even though I´m not that outgoing (I´m kind of shy), I do like to go out, hang out with people, and follow any plan people may offer. I do like to have new experiences. I don´t like beer, but I like sweet drinks and I like to try new cocktails.
I´m an open minded person; who thinks people should just do whatever they want and love. I like to learn about different cultures and different ways of living; and how each one resolves their problems and find their way in life.
When I was 25 I decided to quit my job and travel to South America for 11 months. It was one of the most wonderful things I've ever done. After that, in 2018 I came to Japan with a Working Holiday Visa, and after finding an really interesting job by almost coincidence at a correspondence-system school, I changed to a working visa and been living in Fukuoka for the past 3 years.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I want to know more local people; the best places in the cities according to the people that live there, those places most tourist can´t reach; to really get a sense of the culture and the way of living.

Intereses

In my free time I like to make handcrafted notebooks. I´d really like to learn about the different papers and bookbindg techniques.

But I also get anxious if I stay in all day; I like being outside wandering around. I love going to parks, rivers, the mountains and the sea.

I also love to eat; I like trying all different sort of food, mostly sweets!

I practiced archery for two years; and I´m interested in learning other martial arts and japanese archery. I also played voleyball and tennis when I was younger. I´m open to learn any other sport you might want to teach me.

Música, películas y libros

I mostly listen to pop/rock indie, Japanese music and some Korean music as well. I don´t really have a favourite style, usually just absorve the things I like the most of what everyone around me are listening. But, some of my favourite bands are: Back Number, Radwimps, IU, Florence and the Machine, The Lumineers, Paramore, Of Monsters and Men, Ed Sheeran, etc.
I like reading all sort of books, though mostly I like to read fantasy sagas, such as Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Eragon, Ender´s Game Saga and The Shadow´s saga. But I also like to read novels, though always fiction. I can read any book you recommend, I just love reading.
I also like reading manga, and have recently started to read webtoons as well. My favourites manga by now are Rurouni Kenshin, Card Captor Sakura, One Piece, 3 gatsu no lion, and Hachimitsu to Clover.

I like watching anime, Japanese and Korean dramas, and various types of TV shows.

Algo increíble que he hecho

In my first trip to Bolivia, I did the Death Road tour in a Mountain Bike. It was amazing, though I was terrified the whole time.
I travelled alone for eleven months through South America: I did a five day trekking to get to Choquequirao in Peru, visited Uyuni´s SaltFlats in Bolivia (saw the sunset), got to 5000mts above sea level in Vinikunca Mountain, Peru; walked on Perito Moreno glacier (only a tiny bit) and watched a part of it fall in Argentina, got to Caribbean beaches in Colombia, and saw a dolphin jumping in the sea in Santa Teresa, Uruguay (though I didn´t do this, I just witnessed it, but it was amazing :)
I climbed the Mt.Fuji with my sisters!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can help with english and spanish, as well as bookbinding.
I like cooking as well as eating; so I can cook national dishes or anything we come up with.
I will of course keep everything clean and tidy.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share everything I lived, and I hope they do the same. I think our cultures are quite different and it would be interesting to share how we live each situation in our lives, to realize our similarities and differencies.
