I’m Marian, from Brazil, and I am currently living and working in the USA as an au pair (childcare). I came to the States in this exchange program with the purpose of improving my English and traveling around the country.
I’ve graduated in college in 2015 and in 2017 (BA in Literature and Languages and Teaching Degree, respectively) and worked in schools and museums until January, when I arrived in Texas, Houston. Despite my concerns about coming to a conservative state, I am enjoying the city very much, specially because of its diverse population and the huge amount (and descendants) of immigrants. I love to wander around and hear a couple talking in Spanish, some children playing in Vietnamese, teenagers ordering their meals in Chinese...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I would like to visit as many cities as possible and to get to know people with diverse cultural backgrounds and origins. (:
I’ve traveled a few times, specially when I was living in Israel, but always stayed in hostels. I would like to try couchsurfing.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I’ve planted some olive trees in Palestine with a group of Israeli rabbis that were demonstrating solidarity to the struggle of Palestinians. That was pretty amazing, and very human.
