Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually listen to music that allows me to concentrate while I draw or paint, like classical music - Chopin and Eric Satie are my favorites. I also like Jazz, from time to time 80's music, and absolutely love Japanese traditional music.
Now i'm obsess with two japanese pop-rock bands called Bump of Chicken and Galileo Galillei. But mostly i listen to movie's soundtracks.
About the books, I like Russian classical literature, authors like Tolstói and Dostoievski, also mystery or romantic novels.
Besides, it is common to see me with an encyclopedic book or guides, especially if it is from animals, plants, rocks or dinosaurs. I like reading specialized books in subjects like art, archeology entomology and ornithology. A bit random, i know.
I am currently studying Japanese, so I always read guides about that language.
Guilty Pleasure: Read Stephen King.
Movies: I don't see many movies or series, in fact I hardly see tv or go to the movies, but I like animated films. My favorite movie themes are those set in World War II and science fiction about time travel. Traveling in time or things related to that topic interest me a lot and I become a freak when I talk about them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is not something amazing, but an anecdote that occurred to me when I was fifhtteen years old at my first mountain camp.
We were sleeping in the tents and my friend woke me up because she heard a noise inside, I told her it was nothing to worry about. But she continued until I heard it too ... it was the characteristic sound of a snake, but not of any, a rattlesnake!
Everything was very dark and we couldn't find the litter because we could touch the snake. In a moment I grabbed my cell phone and called another friend to come for us. While we waited it was very scary, between each ring on the phone was a bell. They came for us and indeed, there was a rattlesnake sleeping in our tent.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I have the opportunity to meet you, I could teach you about the culture of my country, specifically about fauna, birds and plants.
I like to participate in conversations about art, and teach about it, especially if it is history of art or techniques of expression. I could also teach you how to draw or paint if you want.
I can also teach languages like Spanish, Italian, English and basic Japanese.
Sharing with friends on various topics is one of my favorite things. Meetings where we can talk about philosophy and arts ... that always end in themes between travels in time or aliens hahaha
I love learning about any subject, so meeting people from many places provides a great exchange of culture, knowledge and experiences. I know that everyone says the same, but I guess that's why we're here.
