About Me
Road Trip! I'm a white queer, nonbinary, able-bodied person of middle class background who grew up on unceded Matinecock territoy (otherwise known as Sea Cliff, NY). A theater-maker, avid reader, writer, and violist who enjoys existing outdoors, working with horses, sharing meals and experiences with people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In a transitional limbo that I can't call my Saturn return (too young) or my mid-life crisis (too too young). Maybe it's a quarter-life crisis. Sure.
Last year I worked and lived on a farm/ permaculture homestead for the first time, and it very much altered how I want to continue existing. The purpose for this road trip specifically is to reconnect with distant family and learn about my maternal lineage -- both to understand more about my family's participation in the US's violent history and to ground myself in these forebears. Where did we get our wealth from? Which great-great-great came over from a country in Europe? It is also to open myself to the opportunity of finding a community to sink roots into, where I am ignited as a full person. I would love to learn about the history of each place I visit.
My non-human partners are my viola and a small recorder, if you ever want to jam!
