Overview
About Me
I would describe myself as someone, who likes meeting new people and learning more about other cultures, but at the same time I enjoy travelling by myself and having a good read.
My travelling addiction started with a sponaneous decision to go to Cambodia for volunteering. I got introduced to backpacking, learned a lot about myself and discovered my fascination for Asia.
What I love most about travelling is, how it asks of me to leave my comfort zone and become more flexible. Being typically German it was at first hard for me to let go of my perfectionism. But once I'm back to my old patterns I know it's time to go travelling again!
This summer I'm rediscovering Munich and Bavaria. Unfortunately I can't offer a place to stay, but I'm more than happy to show you around on the weekend (as I'm working during the day) and give you some tips :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard a lot about Couchsurfing from my friends, who have only had enriching experiences with the people they met whilst couchsurfing.
As I love travelling and I will probably spend more time abroad I decided to sign up as well.
Interests
I enjoy speaking foreign languages and learning more about other cultures and their local languages - especially through couchsurfing!
Otherwise I like being active, going for a hike, running and I recently started climbing (so much fun!),
but also relaxing and having a good read.

Music, Movies, and Books
It was only Sweden where I started to binge watch series. But my favourites are Game of Thrones, Westworld and the 100. When in Sweden I like to watch Bron, Solsidan and Skam, which are pretty good.
Reading a book is one of the things I enjoy very much, but never get to do as much as I want to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going hiking in Zhangjiajie in China (Avatar was inspired by the scenery there!).
Every hike I did in China was an amazing experience. The scenery is just so different! Can't wait to explore more places.
Teach, Learn, Share
What could I teach you? I am always interested to learn more about history, foreign countries, though at the same time I can share my experiences in Asia and Scandinavia, why I had such a fabulous time there and where I'd recommend to go.
Otherwise I enjoy to discuss about anything connected to sustainability and can teach you anything connected to that (resource challenges, sustainable livestyle, climate politics, etc.). But no worries, that's not the only thing I talk about :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
My travelling experiences and of course more profound knowledge about China, intercultural awareness. Experiences in working and studying abroad, but also knowledge about environmental and sustainability management.
