About Me
Hi there!
My name is Marianne and I love learning new languages and traveling. I also enjoy going out with my friends, learning new things, reading books and watching movies. I am currently working as a cashier in a food store here in Norway to pay for all of my upcoming travels, but I love it! I get to talk to so many nice people almost every single day, and it genuinely makes me so happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because it'll make it a lot easier for me. My best friend and I are planning on traveling around Latin-America, Asia and some parts of Africa when I graduate next year. With that being sad, we need to stick to a budget, so I'm mostly here for economic reasons. But I mean, who doesn't want to know people and make friendships all over the world?! That'a a huge point, too. I absolutely love interacting with people, and I have already gotten to know so many awesome people from different continents, for which I am extremely grateful.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty versatile when it comes to music, but I mostly listen to hip hop, RnB, jazz and reggaetón.
My all time favorite movie is "Eat, Prat, Love". Cracks me up every single time!
As for my favorite book, it has to be "El Club de los Incomprendidos" by Francisco de Paula Fernández.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I finished a pilgrim-travel in Costa Rica with thousands of people! Walked for two entire days.
Another amazing thing I got to do back in 2017: I got to travel with a Norwegian mission organization to the Ivory Coast where I had the opportunity to help uneducated children who didn't have the same privileges as me. Growing up in such a good country like Norway, it's easy to take all the "small things" for granted: like free education, human rights, freedom of speech and the list goes on. It was really a turning point for me where I feel like God really wanted to show me all those things to make me appreciate my life more. It also taught me to involve more in charity work, which has given me so much since last year.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I consider myself an outgoing, extroverted girl with a passion for people. In my 19 years long life, I have been extremely lucky to know so many amazing human beings from all around the world, and hopefully I can share some experiences and stories from my travels. I am a person who can talk for hours while sipping from a coffee, and my philosophy is to live every day like it's my last, cry, laugh and love a lot. I'm absolutely so in love with life and being able to travel and meet people in this way is a huge blessing in itself.
