ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Marianne, I'm 23 years old and I come from Finland. I'm studying to become an English teacher and would like to work with things related to education, languages and international mobility in the future. I also work as a part-time freelance writer and translator.

I'm easy-going, calm, reliable and interested in foreign cultures and travelling. I'm independent and enjoy touring the world both by myself and in good company. I also enjoy meeting new people whenever I have the chance - that's why I'm here on Couchsurfers!

I have a lot of interests and like to keep myself busy. To name a few interests: travelling, languages, friends, indie music, reading, green lifestyle, exercising.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch/an extra bed at the moment but am happy to hang out and show you around in my city. And if you're in a desperate need of a place to stay, I always have a floor to sleep on :)

I'm very much eager to try couchsurfing on my own travels, as well!

Music: SO MUCH! Mostly indie-folksy-alternative-rock-pop-whatnot. Anything acoustic goes, as well.

Books: Some of my favourites would be The Secret History, The Kite Runner, The White Oleander, Water for Elephants and We Need to Talk About Kevin.

Movies: The Great Gatsby, Amélie, Spirited Away.

TV: Breaking Bad, True Detective, Sex and The City.
