About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly type of person, who loves to travel. I have visited and lived in several countries. I'd love to share my stories with you around a coffee/tea cup. I would love to show you the nicest places around, and listening to your travelling stories. I believe in exchanges : of knowledge, of skills, of stories... It makes our lives richer !

PHILOSOPHY

Hapiness is not the AIM, but the path we are on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I love to go out (hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, biking, rock climbing...) i would enjoy some people who share the same interests to come with me and enjoy the landscapes of new places.
And now that I have my own place, of course I host travellers too! That's the couchsurfing spirit ! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New Zealand : I already went on a long hike around the Waikamoana lake with two other couch surfers. It was amazing :D !! We had a swim in a waterfall, we touched a rainbow... Such great souvenirs! :) Afterwards we even stayed at our friend's place (a nice farm) for a week. We really enjoyed each other's compagny!

Still in NZ, we went to hike in the Tongariro national park (it was once again a several days' hike). Such fantastic scenic views! Meeting people while you hike is the best feeling in the world.
Finaly, i went on a tree weeks road trip in a campervan with a lovely German girl whom I met on CS.

Canada : I have met great friends through Couchsurfing, who showed me the nice places in thre area, and helped me feel welcome. I am forever grateful, and would like to do the same at home ! :) And on our way to Alaska, we met alternative-thinking people who really made an effort to change the world. It was really empowering... I hope to see you all again, one day, in France (or wherever I will be in the world!).

Now in Nepal : I have my own place, and ready to host fellow travellers in wonderfull downtown Patan ! :)

Interests

I love animals, and especially my dog Jedi. We like to go hiking in the mountains nearby. I love snow in general : hiking (with my beloved crampons), skiing, snowshoeing...
I am also very found of photography, I take my camera everywhere with me: pictures are the best souvenirs one can possess, in my point of view. I like watching sunset from beautiful points of view.
I love socializing : having a drink with friends and meet new amazing people. I sometimes enjoy a quiet and confy evening, reading a book or enjoying a nicely cooked dinner with friends (I always cook too much!)
What I prefer ? Cooking for friends (and family), and share it all together. (and, because I am french, of course with lots of wine ;) !)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things? Every little step we make oustide our confidence zone is amazing!

I've been bungee jumping, i've lived as a hippie in a van travelling around NZ (and Italy as well) during several weeks, i've met awsome people during trekks in Nepal, i've been hitch-hiking with maories, i've been hiking for several days in the forest, and then on an active volcano, i've touched a rainbow while swimming in a waterfall, i've been dancing on the beach at night, watching stars and telling jokes, slept on a yatch in Norway thanks to wonderful couchsurfers...

Teach, Learn, Share

As I am a french teacher, I am found of languages. Learning, sharing, improuving...

I can also share my knowledge of cooking : I enjoy doing it, and with a friend it is always better ! Usually, when I am invited to stay at people's places in CS, I cook diner for our hosts. And they were always happy ;) just saying !

What i love to do is to listen to stories of travels : what have you done? What have you seen? What do you think of this culture? and so on. It might be my favorite topic, I can chat for hours!
