Hi! I'm Marianne. Nice to meet you! I've been a teacher in Dallas and Costa Rica for the past 2 years, and now I'm moving to the Austin! I love traveling and I like to sew and do arts and crafts and improv acting. I'm learning to play the piano and I am trying to learn about Linux and computer programming right now. I taught abroad in Costa Rica last year and I'd like to keep exploring the world... it's so nice to step out of the box and see what else is in the world... there's so much to explore, and I love learning languages... immersion worked for me in acquiring the Spanish language, and I hope to acquire many more in other countries!... knowing a language is like a portal into a whole other culture and world I wouldn't otherwise be able to know. I'm pretty entertaining and Iove meeting new people... I have a wide range of interests, so I get along with almost everyone I meet, and I can cook!

movies: The Fault in Our Stars was good. I liked Birdman and the Imitation Game. I like Latino movies too... Eugenio Derbez and Martha Higareda are funny!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a ski bum living at a resort in Colorado for a few months. I worked as a house-keeper in exchange for free snow-boarding... I don't know if this is my most "amazing" thing, it was pretty great!

I am a teacher and I love to sew! If you have something you want hemmed or mended or you want me to make a garment or a bag or stuffed animal or doll for you, I will! We can get creative! I love making things for people. I can also teach you sewing so you can do it too! It's a blast!
