About Me
Hey, I am Mariano! I have just graduated at the University of Cagliari while working at Rutgers University (New Jersey). My experience in the US was a blessing. Even if I was far from home, this experience gave me a chance to improve myself, meet incredible people, and travel around the country.
Now I live I Dresden to pursue my career as a researcher.
I’m a friendly and happy person, in love with nature. I am so very passionate about hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, and everything related to outdoor activities.
I come from a little village in the middle of Sardinia. My father used to have a farm with horses and cows where I grow up. I often try to help my mother making cheese, bread, sweets, jam. I love cooking, you can ask me to make risotto or bake pizza!
I am a people person, a good listener and I am looking forward to having new experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing allows me to being part of local life, not as a traveler but as a welcome guest!
When I was in NYC, I meet the incredible comunity of couchserfers in a camping event. I felt immediately part of a big family, I will never forget those moments we spent toghether cooking, dancing, drinking, laughing, hiking and swimming!
I would like to meet people completely different from me, to visit towns that I’d never thought to see, to learn local traditions and foods. My aim is to enjoy all day long, from early morning till late, talk to local people, take pictures of the best landscape. I want to overtake my limits and fears, try unexpected experience.
