We are an outgoing, sociable couple who love having company for a braai (barbeque to the non-South Africans) and a good bottle of wine.
We love entertaining in our home.

We have hosted a few times, and found it to be a positive experience, having been fortunate to have interesting surfers in our home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Both Al and I have enjoyed opening our home to would-be-friends. Our Surfers have been very polite and interesting people - loving it!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Marian: SciFi, Love stories (much to Al's disgust!!), drama. Al rarely watches, though News is fine for him.
Books - Marian: Absolutely anything goes. If it's printed, chances are I'll read it. Al: Do I really have time for that??!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We recently took a trip to the Knersvlakte and Vanrhynsdorp to view the Spring wild flower show...stunning! You HAVE to come in early September for this - you won't regret it. I have never seen anything so beautiful....carpets of colour wherever you look.
