About Me

CURRENT MISSION

maintain happiness whilst achieving scholastic goals

ABOUT ME

I love sitting outside at a cafe, drinking tea, pretending to read a book but instead listening to other people's conversations at coffee tables nearby and imagining what their stories are.I'm a vet intern at the moment. The immediate future is quite uncertain for me, which I don't mind much at all.I like the cold, like some beaches, love hills and streams. Sun and snow (not necesarily together) make me happy. I love being around people with wisdom. I have called a dozen places home in the last 2 years.

PHILOSOPHY

In our every deliberation, we must consider the effect of our actions on the next seven generations.

This we know, the Earth does not belong to us and we belong to the Earth. Man did not weave the Web of Life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the Web, he does to himself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Met a ton of people- particularly in Australia and the US- have surfed more than hosted, and I want to do more of both.
My parents are getting into the Couchsurfing lifestyle now too! Since their living arrangement is a bit more stable and they have more space for surfers, my family has also hosted several people- some official CSers, some unofficial, all interesting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started Couchsurfing in Sydney, becuase I decided to attend a conference and so was running out of money for hostels....but even if I could afford the Ritz, I think I'd prefer this! The people I stayed with, not just from CS but from other similar sites are just so welcoming and helpful and generous! It makes my traveling experience completely different from what it would have otherwise been. I've been hiking, been to concerts, been boating, and cooked tasty meals at home with hosts, and had some discussions that i don't think I would have had in any other type of setting. What a fantastic way to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading: Sons and Lovers by DH Lawrence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching babies being born.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you to stitch up a wound and go over the subjunctive tense in Spanish (and English). I can show you how to squirt the rind of an orange into a candle flame and make the flame crackle and spritz. I am ok at starting a fire.  I can show you a good road biking route around the Southwest US.I want to surf, and learn to ski well. I want to learn accupuncture, and the myths of the gods and the constellations, and more song lyrics.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Italy, Mexico, Slovenia, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
