关于我

I believe we're born in a certain family and a country because we have a purpose to fulfill there or a powerful insight to learn during our upbringing that will determine our mission to complete in this lifetime. I like to remind myself that there is more goodness in this world than there will ever be evil- and that fear is our biggest enemy. I've shifted my frame-of-mind into enjoying where I am and what I have at this moment...that being eating a wonderful piece of dessert or dancing away carefree. I'm rediscovering the power of my laughter- and practicing it until my stomach hurts...which unfortunately it's a wonderful experience we tend to dust off when we enter "adulthood" and responsibilities.
I tend to show my affection and my caring with details like cooking for someone or buying a special something just because. I first come off as introverted- mostly because I like to examine situations in detail and slowly incorporate myself. If something feels off, it's because it's off. I don't push or force.
I follow my intuition soundly. Gut feelings are the real deal :)
I love dark chocolate. Green-tea everything. Passionfruit. Kiwi. Papaya. All fruits really. Yoga, of course- but also accompanied with heavy exercise every now and then. Weekend markets and fairs is what I live for. I believe in my past lifetime I had an afro. The best sleep is always one that happens under heavy rainfalls. The best nights are the ones unplanned. Craft beer, or a cup or red wine. I rather chilly weather than sticky heat.

I suppose I'll always prefer a friendly atmosphere and a possible friend for life than a cold hotel that'll be only used for sleep. Unless I'm in dire need of rejuvenating sleep, then I'll probably take a night on a hotel :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I rebelled against my parents as a teenager and flew off to Egypt with a then-boyfriend for a week. I did my first Reiki certification when I was 16 years-old and people thought I was into witchcraft. Spent a week at a hidden beach in Costa Rica saving turtles from predators and illegal hunting. Ran two half-marathons. Completed my yoga-teacher training and also my holistic coach certification while with a full-time job. Teach yoga twice a week before going into work. I opened a private group to share my passion on female empowerment and sisterhood and it's grown to 1,300 members and currently building it into a social business (got asked for a fan photo not too long ago- and it was the weirdest thing ever). Travelled South America solo (as a female) and had the best time of my life (highlight: the Uyuni dessert 3-day journey ending in the most amazing sight I've seen which is the Laguna Colorada). Waking up at 4 a.m. in La Patagonia to go to Torres del Paine in Chile on an 8-hour bus, spend the day and come back on the same bus to arrive in La Patagonia at 4 a.m. the following day- and almost forgot my passport. Ventured to live my "Parisian" life dream for a 3-week stay and pretended to be French. Found an angel selling 'arepas' in Cartagena (Colombia) on a cobblestone street at 6 a.m. who told me powerful insights about my life and after talking to him and walking a few steps, I turned around and neither him or his 'arepa' cart were no longer there (and no, I wasn't under any kind of influence). Meeting a stranger on a public plaza in Villa de Leyva to drink Clos wine on plastic cups and philosophical ramblings. Got followed by a stranger for one hour in Paris and when he finally came up to talk to me he stumbled with words and sprinted away- and I'll always be curious about what he wanted to say. Met the most beautiful man in Berlin during a work-related trip and we went out for a beer at dusk and ended up recreating Before Sunset, just walking and talking and dancing and it was the most intimate connection I've ever shared with someone. Winning the "Best Practices in Social and Environmental Responsibility" international award last year for my company, competing against 190 countries. Searching for flamingoes and staying with an indigenous Wayuu family in La Guajira, Colombia. Backpacking with my younger brother for one week in Antigua and Lake Atitlán, Guatemala.

I'm a yoga teacher, so anything yoga related. Cook you up a great meal (I lean towards being more vegetarian but every now-and-then I can make a non-vegetarian meal). I'm also a holistic nutritionist, so any kind of consultation is welcomed. I can also do a kick-ass cacao ceremony for you with a guided meditation :)
