About Me

CURRENT MISSION Balance my life. A little of everything: a bit of travel (anything from visiting friends and family to a random runaway vacation), just enough work to get by, a bit of studying, a bit of socializing, and a bit of "me" time.
.......... .......... ..........
ABOUT ME I want to be young at heart forever and have a huuuuuuge bucket list that I want to continue checking things off of. I'm a graduate from EMU with my Bachelor's Degree in French, but i'm working on getting certifications for welding and scuba-diving at the moment. I'm a collector of experiences, it's what I live for! I'm in love with my nostalgia, and have tons of stories to share! I have a 25 year old snake named Khaa and a 15 year old cat named Troll!
.......... .......... ..........
PHILOSOPHY Pan metrwn aristwn - ancient greek for "everything in moderation". I want to try a little bit of everything that there is to be offered in life. By nature, I'm a jack of all trades and a master at none and I very much like it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I would love to share my couch with interesting travelers to vicariously travel through them!
.......... .......... ..........
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I first surfed for a year starting in June 2014 and ending June 2015. Since then, I have preferred surfing couches to any other form of visiting new places! I have now hosted as many as I’ve surfed with and so must go out and surf to unbalance that again - time for adventure!! ^_____^

Interests

I'm rather social, very active, pretty nerdy, somewhat artistic and slightly musical! My active activities are running (5k and 10k races), playing ultimate frisbee, hitting the gym with some rage-beats to work out to and just enjoying the woods (I'm a fiend for climbing trees!) I love longboarding (but I'm not too great at tricks). Lately i've been doing a lot of home improvements and have grown to really enjoy it. And I love a good rave! My nerdy interests are ANIME... LOTS of anime! I like cosplaying and dressing up and have been known to occasionally play some D&D. I also totally love any sort of table-top game (Mahjong, Lagoon, Firefly, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Spice Road, Shadow Hunters, Splendor and Cosmic Encounter are some of my favorites!) I like to play videogames, but not by myself unless it's a truly exceptional game (Shadow of the Colossus, Disgaea, Ico, Chrono Trigger, Detroit: Become Human, and a lot of the Zelda games). I love to do pretty much anything artistic, paint, draw, make costumes, you name it! I tend not to have the motivation to do so unless someone else inspires me though, except for coloring - I love to send postcards and letters too! I play the piano a little, some guitar, a bit of bass and I trifle with flutes and THE OCARINA!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE??!! ...ok fine.

I once bicycled from Michigan to Florida with my best friend! WILD TIMES!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach people the game of Mahjong, I've done it a lot - as it's my favorite table-top game of all time but I have a collection of board games I love to teach as well! I also like to teach people to longboard, another one of my favorite activities!

I'd love to get better at my languages, so any help in the Greek, Japanese, French or Spanish department would be very much appreciated (honestly I'd love any language teaching though, I never know what my next linguistic endeavor will be)!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you around all the down towns of Ypsi and a ton of excellent spots to eat, lounge and listen to local music! I am also always willing to share whatever’s in the fridge, cooking fiascos, board games, and hookah!
