Hi I am a conference interpreter who loves cats and traveling. I've been living in Istanbul with my husband and cat for 2 years now. I coachsurfed a lot in my 20s and then stopped but my husband has always been a very active member (you can find his profile here https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ethan_boehm), so now we host and travel together. He's great with maps and transit tips and we both enjoy hanging with couchsurfers. I enjoy cooking, yoga, biking, hiking, reading (not kindle but real books 🤓), camping and dancing.

For us, couchsurfing is not a free version of Airbnb, but a cultural exchange. We enjoy interacting and learning from our couchsurfers. Sometimes, depending on our schedules, we have more time to hang out than others but we definitely enjoy it when we can.

Our guestroom is also my office/interpretation booth, so you would need to leave the apartment while I'm working, as I need complete silence. But don't worry, this doesn't happen everyday and when it happens, it's normally just a couple hours.

We don't accept requests unless you had taken the time to share about yourself on your profile and tell us why staying with us would be a good fit.
Ideally, request from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday, although we will consider other requests depending on our schedules.
