Hi everyone, I’m Marie, French living in Barcelona, I’ve studied cinema and now graphic design. I like all the arts in general, especially photography, but what I like from underneath is traveling and discovering new cultures, making new buddies, having good times, exchanging, of course partying. I’m brand new on Couchsurfing and it’s Lisbon that I chose to start my first experience in Couchsurfing. I have travelled through a number of countries, and I have decided to put my luggage down longer than expected, as I did two years ago in French Guiana, where I've lived with friends in the middle of the Amazon, a fantastic experience rich in emotions and insects of all kinds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to travel differently, hotels are not fun , what I’m looking for here is the meeting that is for me the start of a good trip, the discovery of new cool people and learning from their culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinema is life, it is my motto, I could settle in a cinema for a week without taking a break, the selection will have to be good! If you know one of these names, I love you already; Fellini, Kubrick, Bergman, Dolan, Jarmush, Dupieux, De Palma, Malick, Van Sant or Truffaut, for me a film in black and white is not necessarily boring! But no problem I also love Terminator, Star Wars and buildings that explode in slow motion!

Music is also life, I’m not a purist, my thing is a little close to everything, but here’s if I had to quote only a few sounds that make me vibrate I would go on Tim Maia’s Acenda o Farol (I love disco and glitter), Kenny dope’s The Bomb, right now I’m rediscovering Nas that I think is absolutely awesome.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A roadtrip in California with my best friends, searching for night Caymans with an unreliable headlamp in French Guiana, climbing a Moroccan mountain at night and reaching the summit at the precise moment of sunrise, sleeping at the godmothers of a favela in Brazil, sleeping under the stars in the Sahara desert, the list only asks to be filled!
