I really enjoyed using couchsurfing as a guest during my long trip in Japan. My couchsurfing hosts made me spend an amazing time. I'm so grateful and I really do hope that I will be able to do the same with the couchsurfers I'll host.

As for me, I like meeting new people and sharing a never-ending conversation about travel, movies, photography or politics. But sometimes I just need my free space to read or write or sleep.

I see couchsurfing as a sharing thing. I host you with a great pleasure but if you stay for on or two night and take a meal with us, I would like you to help with the dishes or something. Just easy stuff that show us that you're a little grateful to spend time with us !

I usually don't accept last minute request because I have to ask my roomates about hosting a couchsurfer and it takes at least 1 day. Best chance for you is to ask around 1 week before or more.
