About Me

Hi everyone, I don't host right now. Maybe later.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling, it's the best way to discover the culture.
When hosting, it's like travelling without moving :D

Interests

Slow life...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies by Lars Von Trier, Claude Miller, Andrew Niccol, Roman Polanski, Asghar Farhadi, Yorgos Lanthimos, Steven Soderbergh, Stanley Kubrick, the Coen brothers, David Lynch, Spike Jonze, François Truffaut, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Ulrich Seidl, Quentin Dupieux... I enjoy both mainstream and indie movies. As for series, I can enjoy them if in good company.
I can listen to very different styles of music, depending on my mood, from dubstep to folk pop, electro house, classical or world music... I can share my spotify playlists if you want.
I start reading a lot of books but almost never finish them...
My favorite novel would be Death in Venice by Thomas Mann (I wish I was able to read it in German...). Short story, of course.
My favorite graphic novels are Black Hole by Charles Burns and Fun Home by Alison Bechdel.
I read mostly essays, as I have less patience for fictional stories (the real world is so much more interesting to me).
My favorite French author is Emmanuel Carrère.
Foodwise, I would call myself a flexitarian gourmet. I like fresh food and am always keen on trying something new. I could definitely go for some culinary tour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A midsummer free party on top of a cliff in New Zealand at the turn of the millenium.
Volunteering with Buddhist nuns in Thailand.
Bungee jumping.
Getting closer to my family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love all languages of the world! Especially how different they sound from one another.♡♡♡
So far I mostly travelled as a volunteer with WWOOF or Workaway.
I know a little about organic farming and gardening.
I got interested in Buddhism and meditation after travelling in Asia.

There are some regions of France that I now better than others. I was born in the north of France but grew up in the south-eastern part of France. I've visited the western regions of France a little, but not enough to my liking. I love the ocean, I can never get enough of it! And believe it or not, I have never visited the Loire castles, (except one as a child but I can't even name it).

What I Can Share with Hosts

People say that I'm a good listener.
I can teach some French.
I'll bring the best delicacies from my country.🥐🧀🥖🍷
I can teach you how to make your own mayonnaise!
I can recommend good indie movies, documentaries and short films (I work in the media industry).
I will respect your house rules whatever they are.🙏
