About Me

I've been travelling by bike since I was 16. I've travelled for small periods in Canada and United States but what I really appreciate are long trips. I've been in Europe in 1990 for 4 months, in South-East Asia with my husband for 4 months in 2002 and in Vietnam and Laos with my family in 2014 for 3 months. Travelling by bike, offered me many contact opportunities with local people.
After living in Montréal and Québec city, I am now living in the countryside where I volunteer in my local community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet people with whom I could discuss more thoroughly, either in English or in French. I'm also interested in learning other languages. It will be a pleasure for me to receive guests at my house after october 1st 2016. I will be travelling by tandem bike with my 12-year-old son, Étienne, from Paris to Istanbul from mid april to september 2016.

Interests

I like storytelling, litterature, gardening, cooking, tasting teas and travelling by bike. I practice meditation and Qi Gong. I'm interested in alternative ways of living and I'm curious about how other people create their own way of living and learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I appreciate various styles of music: folk, jazz, music from the 80's, chanson française et québécoise, world music...
I prefer independent movies to blockbusters.
I read novels and essays on various subjects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my well-payed job to move to the countryside and start all over again, without knowing what was ahead of me. And I'm now becoming a storyteller.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking, storytelling, vegetable growing, medicinal herbs, Qi Gong, meditation, Taoism, tea, unschooling, ways of learning, languages, bike tips...
