About Me

I've been travelling the world for a year now and have a few months left! I have met great people along the way and I hope to meet many more. My goals have changed along the way, but one thing remains the same: I love to learn and share.

Of late I have been trying to live a yogic lifestyle and deepen my spiritual practice. I love it! However, I am still having trouble balancing that lifestyle with my love of farious foods, drinks and alcohol. I don't know how, but I'll find a way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I am travelling the world is to get to know the people living in it and their culture: their personal, social, work and culinary culture. I try to learn as much as I can about the history, culture, attitudes and language of the places I visit. CS is one of the best way to meet equally sociable and open minded people.

I am looking forward to extend the favor when I get back to Canada... even if its for a simple meet up! I have been very lucky in my trip so far, so I hope to share some of it when I am able to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Super cheezy, but every christmas, I have my ritual of watching A Muppet's Christmas Carol, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Little Women.... so I guess this makes them my favorite movies?! But lately the best movies I've seen are Silence (2016 - Scorsese) and Swiss Army Man.

Other than my Economist, I don't read a lot... but I would say my favorite books where the Trois Mousquetaires series, Frankenstein's Monster and Jane Eyre. I prefer to listen to podcasts such as Hardcore History, 99% invisible and Invisibilia. OUH! I LIED!! I do read.... *GEEK ALERT* comic books. :) I have a decent size collection including Batman comics, the Walking Dead, Y the last man...

With music, my favorite styles are Jazz, Blues and Indie ( but really, I listen to anything (buuuut pop-country and 50 cent style rap)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Family yoga retreat in Nepal. Meditation simply changed my life. I had done "yoga" (asanas) before, but it was the first time I got introduced to me as a full yogic lifestyle. It is something that I am still trying to fit in with my love of food and alcool....

Boat stopping in the Carribean: Living on a boat has been a revelation to me. Wind and water definitely are my favorite elements and you find plenty of both on a boat!

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: My contagious laugh!

First, you may find it loud and obnoxious...
Second, you will fall in love with it...
Third, you will miss it ;-) hihi

And I am always happy to share my knowledge of food and drinks and now meditation !

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good conversation about.... pretty much anything.

Meditation and raiki (still at the beggining stages!)

My hability to cook meals, bake breads and desserts and mix some amazing cocktails!
