About Me

Hi!

I am a 28 years old French town planner (you might start wondering what a planner is doing with his/her days or what exactly is town planning - I can explain if you are interested!).

I grew up in France, more specifically in Brittany, Normandy and Vendée before moving to Paris to finish my education and get a job. I lived there for a while before moving to London in 2013 with my boyfriend (a French IT guy). I got the chance to obtain a second master's degree there, as well as a great job and lots of international friends.

Me and the same boyfriend (who grew a beard in the meantime) lived in NYC for several months earlier this year while I was finishing an internship at the UN. We then started an 8 month trip mid-August - the plan is to go back to France at some point in April 2018. We would very much like to get the opportunity to make the most of this trip to meet local people and share moment with them, hence why I registered on this website.

I am very chatty, love cooking, reading, sports (hiking notably! and I also just learnt how to scuba dive) and spending a great night with friends sharing a nice meal and good stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea to meet new people while discovering new places and had great experiences through other websites.

During our trip my boyfriend and I hope to be able to stay at local people's places as much as possible to have a better experience of new countries and cities and to get to discover new people and share stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Balkan Beatbox, The Beatles, Thomas Fersen, Agnes Obel and Parov Stellar - quite eclectic and open to anything in terms of music really.

Au revoir là haut, Mille soleils splendides, 1Q84, La nuit des temps are some of my favorite books.

In terms of movies, I am going to the cinema almost every week - I like blockbusters such as Dr Strange as much as movies with a smaller audience such as A peine j'ouvre les yeux or Les délices de Tokyo.

I also love TV shows - who doesn't these days really?

And I like pets - especially dogs!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an intern at the UN - which for me is quite amazing ; ) (well how lucky I was to obtain the internship is amazing really).

Other than that I am not sure - I have lots of interesting experiences to share (I have been a tutor for several years, I am becoming an expert at gluten-free and lacto-free cooking and baking, I am lucky enough to have friends and family all over the world, I was involved in relay triathlons, etc.) and I hope you will have too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking and baking (I am a very good cook and know French cuisine as well as gluten-free/lacto-free recipes) primarily, but also languages (I am a native French speaker, fluent in English and used to speak Spanish very well a few years ago - I am now very rusty and wouldn't say no to an opportunity to practice ; ))

I will love to share stories and have long conversations if you fancy it.

My boyfriend can help with IT related things (which are all very obscure to me I'm afraid), and is a passionate photographer.
