About Me

For almost a year I live in my beloved shared flat in the heart of Mainz, enjoying days in the park nearby doing Acro Yoga and meeting friends around the corner and at the Rhine. Or simply having a nice vegetarian/vegan meal with friends around me and my flat mates...
I am absolutely passionate about my occupation which is treating patients with Osteopathy. I dive deeper and deeper into that subject that is much more than a profession. It appears to be a profound philosophy about life itself, about really promoting the inherent health in each individual. It is Fantastic!
I love to share the idea that everyone has already got everything he oder she needs for a truly happy life inside his/herself. I am so thankful for all those human beings I have been meeting on my way, for all those beautiful and inspiring souls.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I set up my account before a 2 months-trip to South East Asia in 2016 with two friends. It turned to be easier for us to manage our Couchsurfing from only one account, which wasn't mine. So it is still pretty blank though we had some amazing hosts and experiences in Laos and Cambodia and also just around the corner in Germany!
So now there is a new start - for hosting people in my beloved flat in Mainz and for getting to know hosts and their places all over the world. My sister and I will spend some time together travelling in Europe.
I love the idea to be a home for travellers, to help where is need and to receive a home in return. You can gain so much from it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently watched "American Beauty" the first time in my life together with my flatmates. Such a great movie!

Music... some sort of Folk, singer songwriter stuff, good old Neil Young, Rock, Pop and some music I can not tell where it belongs to from all over the world. There is Lura, Bukahara, Wallis Bird, sometimes even Queen (I must be in a special mood), Mumford and Sons, Boulevard des Airs.

I have a pile of books in my room which are waiting to be read. But I get so distracted from the life around me that all I can manage to read is Osteopathic literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one and only amazing thing I have done... I can't help to think of bungee jumping, which I haven't done actually.
After finishing school yeas ago I went on the Camino del Norte, one of the beautiful pilgrim's ways to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I have walked hundreds of kilometers and met other pilgrims who became close friends within a week, I got to know the rural Spain culture and their friendly people and discovered how few I actually need to live and how deeply happy I can be by living like that. Since then I was several times on different Caminos in Spain and I hope to be able to go there once again. Somewhere on the road. Carried by my feet. Feeling at home whereever I am and feeling at home inside myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to be in the nature, to explore remote places and to move in every physiolgical direction.
Some years ago I discovered Acro Yoga which opened the door to so many beautiful experiences. I learned new stuff on festivals, I teach beginners during our weekly jams in the park, I base the flyers and enjoy flying on bases... and of course I spot flyers (and bases) who possibly are in danger ;) it is amazing how fast people learn to trust and to enjoy the connection which is built while playing.
Recently I made my certificate for operators of pleasure craft which means being able to drive sport boats in inland and coastal waters. Yeah! It is planned to expand it to a sailing license in the future.
And still I am learning to sing and play the guitar in jams, try to improvise a bit more...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to lend a helping hand for domestic issues if needed. I also like to cook with or for you vegetarian or vegan meals OR especially in summer make a huge and delicious salad.
