I grown up on a farm, deep down in the countrysides of Quebec, Canada. When I was used to fields and fresh air, I moved to Montreal for studies. I past the last 7 years of my life there, trying to became something. This made me crazy and I quit my routine after a while, sold everything (except my van, of course!) and start a new life of backpacking across Europe! Life's too short to make it boring.

My friends like to call me MK, M to the K or "Le Sage" in french, because I'm really easy going in life. Nothing's scaring me, nothing's making me uncomfortable. I'll be happy to meet you and discover your way of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet people like me. People with freedom in their souls and happiness in their lives. I want to make new connections with travelers, discuss about life, philosophy, travels and adventures as much as drink a beer without speaking and enjoy the simplicity of the moment.

I'm the kind of host who'll let you do what you want. If you prefer to explore the city alone all day and come back only to sleep, you're welcome. If you want to talk about everything, go to a party and listen music all day with me, you're welcome too. Life's need to be lived and enjoyed, anyhow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of music depending on my mood. Rock, folk, reggae, electro, punk, metal, pop, country name it! When you pass all your time rolling in your van, you need to open your horizons!

I studied in cinema and used to work in a post-production compagny in Quebec. I'm a sound designer, so every movie have a particular place in my heart, it seems like I can't hear and see the world normally. Let's talk about it if you want!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived at a 18 feet fall in rock climbing. Scared me to death, but make me laugh for an hour. This is how I like to see things I guess!

My first lift during my hitchhiking trip was the Belgian police! Which is pretty amazing. And 1 month later I was arrested by the Spanish police for consommation of alcool in a public place (which was totally false!). Well, life can be weird and unfair I guess!
