About Me
"I never wanted to be anybody other
Than the person that I am
And the things that I discovered
In the circles that I ran
Have been difficult and humbling
Some don’t understand
But I’m happiest when struggling"
says Kate Tempest and she nails it! Struggling meaning: I am and want to be in constant movement, moving things at the same time. Currently I am finishing my studies and figuring out what to do next. Meanwhile I am reading a lot, watching movies and discussing them with friends, cooking almost everyday unreasonable amounts of (vegetarian!) food, trying to learn Italian and drinking coffee. Besides dolce vita I cannot think of myself as a human being without being political. I love to have discussions and I would describe myself as really talkative. I am involved in different projects, running a small off-space in town, organizing events and discovering the (sub)cultural microcosmos of this vibrant city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had great experiences with people hosting and barely knowing me - without a couchsurfing profile - for several years. Now I want to give something back. (Needless to say: Because I like meeting people and get inspired! )

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a cinephile! I always find myself watching and liking sad and dark movies (Iñárritu, Kaufman, Haneke) and I have something going on with young polish cinema (Pawlikowski, Szumowska). I dont like over aesthatic movies such as Wes Anderson's and sometimes find myself watching bizarre trailers of trash movies from the 80ies at 4am. Anyhow: If you like Wes Anderson I am still eager to know why! ;)
I listen to a lot of different music ranging from Madonna to Joy Division and I am always keen to discover new artists (though I, for some reason, mostly listen to dead people?!). And about the books... I am a big book-lover ( both fiction and non fiction) and I find it impossible to name my favourite Book. Recently I am reading Patti Smiths "Just kids", liking it a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I lived in Lisbon I met a girl (I was drinking coffee on the balcony) who was waiting for her couchsurfer in front of my house. Since he did'nt appear I said: You can stay with me. We are still in touch.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love languages, the stories and proceedings of words and I am always open to learn a knew, not necessarily useful, but funny or interesting phrase in a language I don't know - and tell you one in return. I have some experience in community organizing, bringing people together and manage discussions. Deep down in my cupboard I have a growing, strange collection of old magazines and pictures and I love doing collages - I can share that with you. I love cooking, well aware of the fact that it is a science and there are countless recipes all over the world waiting for me.
